My Journey: About Tori Hunsberger

Some stories choose their authors long before the author knows it.

For Tori Hunsberger, it started in third grade — a simple classroom assignment, a blank page, and a fall story waiting to be written. Something shifted that day. The words came easily, the world felt wider, and a lifelong storyteller was born. Growing up with cerebral palsy, Tori discovered early that the imagination has no limits — and that the page was a place where she could build entire worlds entirely on her own terms. What began as a school assignment quietly became a calling that would follow her for the next fifteen years.

Now 23, Tori is a debut YA fantasy author and the voice behind *Echo's Song: The Dragon Curse Saga Book One* — a world of dragons, curses, and the unbreakable bonds between them. It was Harry Potter, picked up in 8th grade, that first cracked open the door to magical worlds and showed her what a book could do: transport you somewhere else entirely, make you feel less alone, and remind you that ordinary people can carry extraordinary stories inside them. That early magic never left her.

When it came time to share her own story with the world, Tori chose to walk her own path — self-publishing *Echo's Song* on her own terms, in her own voice, without compromise. Because the stories that live in you deserve to come out exactly as they are. She writes for the dreamers, the misfits, the ones who have always felt a little more at home in a fantasy world than the real one — and she proves every day that nothing gets to decide what you're capable of but you. When she's not writing, Tori is dreaming of the day she'll have a service dog by her side — her perfect future writing companion. You'll usually find her deep in a good book, exploring new games, or geeking out over the latest in tech. And she's just getting started.
